weather |n| weather is the state of the atmosphere, to the degree that it is hot or cold, wet or dry, calm or stormy, clear or cloudy.
meteorology |n| the study of the processes and phenomena of the atmosphere especially as a means of weather forecasting.

weather forecasting / weather forecast / forecast |n| an application of science and technology to predict the state of the atmosphere for a future time and a given location.

cloudiness |n| the amount of cloud in the sky.
