          First Time Greetings

          These sentences are often used after the other person has been introduced to you:
  1. "Good to meet you."
  2. "It’s nive to meet you."
  3. "I’m pleased to meet you."
  4. "It’s a pleasure to meet you."

            Showing Surprise

  1. "Oh my god. It’s you?"
  2. "Aah, where have you been?"
  3. "My goodness. Long time no speak (see)"
  4. "Wow. It’s so."

            Surprise and Interest in Something

  1. "Hello, what’s going on here?"
  2. "Hello, I did not know he had a girlfriend"

           About Weather

           In the UK, people will often greet each other by talking about the weather.
  1. "Hello, isn’t a lovely day?"
