If the ceasefire applies, circumstances can begin to change.
Whether we agree that they are right or wrong, they are relevant to the question of achieving a ceasefire.
However, we hope that the ceasefire will be successful because no one wants to start opening up unless it is really necessary.
They have also been guilty of violating the ceasefire on over 300 occasions.
However, needless to say in a situation where the ceasefire is patchy, although largely holding, the progress towards disarmament is slow.
It was particularly impressive in relation to what he said about the durability of the ceasefire.
What is needed is a ceasefire and a negotiated solution.
First, there has to be a ceasefire before the transitional period takes place.
Once we reach agreement on those, we shall discuss the ceasefire arrangements next week.
I hope that before then we shall have had a ceasefire.
There are those who say that we should give this up, that there is no point in searching for a ceasefire.
