           Groups of Students

1. body |n| a group of people who work together to do a particular job or who are together for a particular purpose.
2. council |n| a formally constituted advisory, deliverative, or administrative body.

4. student body |n| the students of a school, college, or university.
5. student council |n| a group of students at a school or college elected by their fellow students to represent them in school government and usually charged with drawing up and enforcing rules and penalties independently or with faculty assistance, coordinating extracurricular activities, and organizing the school's social life.
6. student government |n| the organization and management of student life, activities, or discipline by various student organizations (as the student council) in a school or college.
7. students union / association |n| a building on a college campus that is devoted to student activities and that usually contains lounges, auditoriums, eating facilities, offices, and game rooms.
