  1. building site / construction site |n| a place where something is being built.

         Building Sites Elements

  1. building code |n| set of standards established and enforced by local government for the structural safety of buildings.
  2. building line |n| the line, fixed by a local authority, beyond which buildings must not project.
  3. building material |n| material used for constructing buildings.
  4. building permit |n| a document authorizing the holder to construct a building of a particular kind on a particular lot.
  5. foundation stone |n| a stone laid at a ceremony to mark the founding of a new building.
  6. foundation |n| a layer of brick, concrete, etc. that forms the solid underground base of a building.
  7. "Concrete foundations have been laid."
  8. slab |n| a large, thick, flat piece of stone, concrete, or wood, typically rectangular.
